During the meeting, the Inspector General of Police urged politicians to allow the police to do their job of policing while they do their politics.

The Ghana Police Service also called on politicians to support their efforts and constructively criticize them to ensure they do a professional job in line with their constitutional mandate.

A press release signed by the Director of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, reiterated this message.
