VVIP Lounge At Kotoka International Airport Shutdown

The Kotoka International Airport’s (KIA) VVIP lounge is no longer open. The move is intended to prepare the way for a restructuring of the lounge for effective travel and to match international standards, according to a statement released by the Foreign Affairs Ministry. The VVIP Lounge at Kotoka International Airport will be temporarily closed for two weeks starting on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana wishes to advise the traveling public.

This new guideline aims to satisfy international standards and enable the lounge to be restructured for effective travel, according to the statement. The statement continued, “The Ministry advises users of the Lounge to patronise the Commercial Important Person (CIP) Lounge and the Business Lounge at Terminal 3 while expressing regret for any inconvenience the closure may cause.”
