Transport fares reduced by 15.3% effective 19 December

The Road Transport Operators association said on Friday that transportation prices would be decreased by 15.3% starting on Monday, December 19, 2022. (16 December).

It was important to include stakeholders in order to contemplate a review of the fares in accordance with the administrative instrument due to the recent drops in the price of petroleum products.

According to a statement from the organization, “Following these negotiations and in consideration of the hardship of drivers, commuters, and the general public, we have resolved to cut the present transit fares by 15.3%.”

The largest transport union in Ghana, the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC), and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), issued a call to action for all drivers to “comply with the revised fares and publish same at their loading locations.”
