The reason why Ghana Tv station can’t show the 2022 world cup
Ghanaian football fans are perplexed that their nation’s television stations aren’t broadcasting the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.
Every union or organization is bound by rules, and football is no exception.
All Ghanaian TV networks that purchased the free to air (FTA) rights to broadcast the world cup matches live, including TV3, Joy Prime, among others, have been requested to stop the live satellite feed in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The FTA TV rights were solely purchased for Ghanaian homes, despite the fact that satellite service extends beyond of Ghana.

According to the aforementioned declaration, Ghanais are only permitted to view World Cup games on FTA channels via terrestrial (antenna) or encrypted satellite platforms.
FIFA can only be certain that the matches won’t be used outside of Ghana by watching via an encrypted satellite platform.
This is why live matches are shown on HD+ by GTV Sports+ HD, JoyPrime HD, and other television stations even while the channels are scrambled on their SD channels on satellite (MultiTV).
The same holds true for every other FTA satellite that broadcasts these channels, including Intelsat, Arabsat, and Eutelsat.
