Sammy Gyamfi retracts, apologises to Samira Bawumia
Sammy Gyamfi, the communication director for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has apologized and recanted a malicious accusation he made against Samira Bawumia, the second lady of Ghana.
In a live interview at the studios of Neat FM, a division of the Despite Group, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi asserted that the Second Lady had a brand-new Toyota Landcruiser specifically for transporting “her makeup artiste” and makeup.

Mr. Sammy Gyamfi quickly changed his account and acknowledged distributing false information about Mrs. Bawumia after receiving a letter from the Second Lady’s solicitors, Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Associates, requesting a written retraction and apologies for the claims.
“The convoy carrying the Second Lady’s makeup artist and makeup kit does not include a single brand-new Landcruiser. It’s only fair that I rescind and apologize because there isn’t such an arrangement. Sammy Gyamfi apologized with regret.
Sammy Gyamfi has recently been hit with numerous lawsuits alleging that he slandered and defamed well-known political figures.
