Rat hunters set market on fire

In the Assin South District of the Central Region’s Nyankomase Ahenkuro, store owners are estimating their losses after a fire destroyed their establishments.

On January 26, 2023, at approximately 12:00 pm, three suspects, ranging in age from 14 to 45, extended their hunting adventure to the marketplace.

According to information acquired by Yaw Boagyan of Kasapa News, the hunters were hunting rats under one of the burned-down stores when a massive fire broke out as they tried to smoke the rodents out of their hiding place.

When the suspects notice that the fire has become worse, they flee.

Before the Fire Service officials came, shop owners and patrons assisted in extinguishing the fire using sand and fire extinguishers.

The suspects who have fled the scene of the event are being pursued by police in Nyankomasi Ahenkro.
