Prof Gabriel Dwomoh appointed new VC of Kumasi Technical University

Professor Gabriel Dwomoh, who previously held the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), has been selected as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.

This appointment comes shortly after the local chapter of the Technical University Teachers’ Association of Ghana (TUTAG) urged the search committee to consider internal candidates for the role.

Prof. Dwomoh’s appointment marks the second time a substantive Vice-Chancellor has been chosen under the framework of the Technical University Act, Act 2016 (Act 922), which transformed polytechnics across the country into technical universities.

In an announcement made on August 15, 2023, the university’s council approved the recommendation of the Search Committee responsible for selecting the Vice-Chancellor. Consequently, Professor Gabriel Dwomoh, a distinguished Professor of Management, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor for a four-year term.
