Over 30,000 uncollected printed Ghanaian passports gathering dust
As a result of the applicants’ refusal to pick them up, more than 30,000 printed Ghanaian passports are collecting dust at the Accra and Kumasi passport application centers.
The passport office informed the applicants that their passports were prepared, but they had yet to pick them up.

The growing number of printed passports that have not yet been collected worries the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, which oversees the passport office.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged all passport applicants who had not yet picked up their passports to do so as soon as possible because they will be needed for future renewals in a statement dated Monday, January 30, 2023.
