Moschino Creative Director Davide Renne Has Died
In a somber announcement, Aeffe, the parent company of Moschino, revealed on Friday that Davide Renne, the newly appointed creative director, has passed away due to a “sudden illness.”
Renne, who assumed the creative helm on November 1, succeeded Jeremy Scott, bringing a wealth of experience from his two-decade tenure at Gucci, where he notably served as the head of Womenswear design.
Massimo Ferretti, chairman of Aeffe, expressed the profound sorrow within the Moschino family, stating, “There are no words to describe the pain we are experiencing at this dramatic time.”
Despite his brief tenure, Renne swiftly earned love and respect within the fashion house.
“Even though he was only with us for a very short time, Davide was able to immediately make himself loved and respected,” the statement continued.
As the industry grapples with this untimely loss, condolences pour in for Renne’s family and friends, marking a poignant moment in the world of fashion.
