Late Kumawu MP’s brother bans DCE, NPP executives from funeral
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Samuel Addae Agyekum, has been cautioned by a brother of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, Philip Basoah, not to attend his funeral.
Executives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have also been prohibited.
The late brother’s sibling, Solomon Basaoh, has accused both parties of mistreating him.

“We don’t anticipate seeing NPP executives from the district at the funeral or anything else related to him.” They shouldn’t even visit the family, let alone.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM, he claimed, “My mother is aware of what the party did to my brother in Kumawu and it is likely she will die with her son if she sees the Kumawu executives at the funeral.”
Solomon further claimed the Kumawu DCE was spreading falsehood about the late MP even when he was on his sick bed battling for his life.
