Komfo Anokye hospital blocks IT system to disallow social media access at work

To stop employees at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from using social media while at work, administrators have turned down the hospital’s computer systems.

The change is meant to maintain staff attention on patient care and raise the level of medical treatment provided at the hospital.

The administration of the hospital has launched a variety of initiatives and efforts to enhance the facility’s patient safety and comfort.

According to him, the hospital’s “[IT] system to YouTube and other social media sites has been restricted to protect personnel from potentially losing focus on patient care while using such platforms.”
