Islamic cleric’s son becomes a Catholic priest (Reactions)
Moses Ibn Idris, the son of a Muslim cleric, has been ordained as a Catholic priest in a rare demonstration of religious tolerance.
In support of his son’s desire to become a Christian, Fr Ibn Idris was held in Jalingo, Taraba state, and his father, Idris, attended the event.

Fr. Ibn Idris was ordained in 2021 after attending the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Jalingo.
His father reportedly extended his blessings when his son decided to convert to Christianity and enroll in the seminary despite the fact that both of his parents are Muslims.
A photo of the father and son shared on social media by Voices Nigerian has gone viral, with many social media users finding the inter-religious embrace heartwarming.
