Inspector Ahmed Twumasi arrested – Police confirm
The arrest of Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, a police officer who is suspected of killing his girlfriend, has been announced by the Ghana Police Service.
The incident happened on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Region.

The suspect went into hiding after the shooting, but he was eventually caught on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in Sekyere, near Effiduase in the Ashanti Region, following a special police operation.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that the suspect is now in police custody and will be presented before a court of law to face justice.
They have also stated their commitment to ensuring that justice is served in this case.
