Fuse ODG Arrested And Brutalised By UK Police Over ‘Weed Smell’ – Video
Fuse ODG, a Grammy-award-winning UK-based Ghanaian musician, recently revealed a distressing incident where he was subjected to brutality and trauma by UK police officers.
The incident occurred on February 8, 2023, while Fuse and his business partner were returning from a meeting in their Range Rover in the Brixton area.
The police officers claimed they detected the smell of cannabis (weed) in the car and proceeded to initiate an arrest.

Refusing to comply with the arrest, Fuse and his partner questioned the basis on which they were being apprehended.
They requested the officers to provide a valid reason for the arrest and questioned whether they possessed a warrant.
The situation quickly escalated as the officers became physical with Fuse when he continued to assert his refusal to be arrested.
In an effort to shed light on the incident, Fuse shared video footage of the encounter on his Instagram account.
Expressing his astonishment, Fuse commented on the unfortunate reality that incidents like these are still commonplace, even in a post-George Floyd era where awareness of police misconduct and brutality has been heightened.
The consequences of this harrowing experience were significant for Fuse. He detailed the aftermath, mentioning that the tightness with which the handcuffs were clamped on him resulted in excruciating pain.
As a result, he had to spend six hours in the emergency room (A&E) for medical treatment. Furthermore, Fuse suffered from neck and back pain for several weeks following the incident.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing issues surrounding police conduct and the experiences faced by individuals, particularly those from marginalized communities.
Fuse’s decision to share the video and speak out about his ordeal brings attention to the need for accountability, reform, and justice within law enforcement systems.
