Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel appointed new Bayern Munich head coach
After parting ways with erstwhile guru of strategy Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich has revealed that Thomas Tuchel will take over as the club’s next manager.
Tuchel, a former manager of Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, joins the Allianz Arena with a deal that lasts through June 30, 2025.
In preparation for the Der Klassiker match against Dortmund the following weekend, he will oversee his first practice at Säbener Straße on Monday.
Nagelsmann departs with his side in second place in the Bundesliga standings, one point behind leaders BVB, while Bayern are also in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
