Fire Destroys Warehouse Of Multipac Ghana Ltd

The Tema-based beverage manufacturing company Multipac Ghana Ltd.’s warehouse was destroyed by fire. At around 12 in the morning on April 8, 2023, the occurrence took place. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) estimates that it took the firefighters around four hours to put out the fire. Divisional Officer Grade 1 Joseph K. is the Deputy Director of Operations at the Ghana National Fire Service Headquarters.

Forson, who was present, claimed that they responded immediately after receiving the distress call at 12:52 a.m. from the Industrial Area Fire Station, which was about two kilometers away, by dispatching the first fire engine. He claimed that when the crew arrived at the scene six minutes later, they found one of the factory’s warehouses where raw materials were stored on fire.

The team deployed to fight the fire after making a brief assessment of the situation, adding that other fire pumps were called in for support. Six pumps and one water tanker from the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, as well as ten private water tanker operators, were used to help put out the fire, according to DO1 Forson. According to him, the fire was put out completely at 6:33 am and brought under control at 4:20 am. No casualties or injuries were reported, according to DO I Forson, who also noted that inquiries were ongoing to ascertain the fire’s origin.
