
Female suspected armed robber, 2 others arrested
Three individuals, including a woman, have been apprehended by the police on suspicion of committing an armed robbery.
The crime in question involved stealing a vehicle from a driver at a location on the Breman Kokoso to Amanfopong road in the Central Region, specifically near a cemetery. The robbery took place on the evening of April 16, 2023.
The gang leader, a woman named Ruth Agyapong, was the first to be caught at her hideout. She subsequently led the police to arrest the other two suspects, Edward and William Kissi.

According to information obtained by Kasapa News journalist Yaw Boagyan, Agyapong hired a Toyota Yaris (with license plate GC-6553-21) and negotiated the fare with the driver.
However, two other robbers who had been hiding in the cemetery emerged from the bushes and began firing their guns. They then robbed the driver of his phones and money, tied him up with a rope, and drove away with the car.
