Christian Atsu to be buried today

Christian Atsu, a former Black Stars star, will be laid to rest at the State House’s forecourt today, March 17, 2023.

Worldwide members of the football community are anticipated at the State House to offer their condolences to Atsu’s family and to pay their honors.

On February 19, 2023, on a Sunday, his corpse was transported from Turkey to Ghana.

Some former Black Stars players paid a call to the deceased Christian Atsu’s family home to sign the book of condolences that had been opened in his honor.

Early on February 21, 2023, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Agyeman Badu, and Haminu Dramani were all in attendance at the Atsu family home.

Christian Atsu Twasam, a Ghanaian professional footballer who played mainly as a winger but could also be used as an attacking midfielder or left back, was born on 10 January 1992 and passed away on 6 February 2023.

From 2012 to 2019, Atsu played 65 times for Ghana as a complete international, including four appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
