During his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, the Assin Central MP claimed that he had turned down an offer. He expressed concerns that Dr. Bawumia’s activities and involvements could potentially harm the party.
The aspiring NPP flagbearer stressed that the Vice President and his team were intimidating party members who didn’t back him.

In response to these allegations, a significant number of Ashanti region residents showed their support for Kennedy Agyapong by rallying in Kumasi.
The New Patriotic Party plans to conduct its elections on November 4, 2023, to select a candidate for the 2024 general elections.
