Bawumia pays National Chief Imam surprise visit on 104th birthday
On his 104th birthday, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, received a surprise visit from the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Bawumia and his wife visited the religious leader at his residence in Accra earlier in the day.
During his visit, the Vice President praised Sheikh Sharubutu for his impactful life and immense contributions to peace and harmony in Ghana.

Bawumia acknowledged that the Muslim community owes much to Sheikh Sharubutu for his leadership and his work in developing Zongo communities.
The Vice President presented a symbolic birthday cake to the Chief Imam and requested for special prayers. Sheikh Sharubutu expressed his gratitude to Bawumia and appreciated the visit.
