Bawumia launches E-Tax Clearance Certificate for GRA
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia introduced the Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
The platform allows tax payers to easily access and generate their tax clearing certificates online, file their tax returns, and check their tax compliance status by dialing the USSD code *880#. It can be accessible through a QR Code, internet portal, or USSD.

The Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate, according to Dr. Bawumia, is one of many digital payment efforts that are enhancing transparency and raising revenue mobilization.
Additionally, it is consistent with “our government’s aim to make it easy and accessible for the good people of Ghana to access Government and other services through digitalization,” the official continued.
