Alan To Resign From NPP

According to information from sources close to John Alan Kyerematen, the former Minister for Trade and Industry is reportedly planning to resign from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on September 25, 2023.

It is said that he has already prepared his resignation letter and intends to present it to the party’s leadership.

Following his resignation, he will hold a press conference to officially announce his departure from the NPP and declare his intention to run as an Independent Candidate in the 2024 general elections.

This event will also serve as an opportunity for him to introduce his campaign team and outline his strategic plan for the upcoming election.

This decision marks the second time Kyerematen is leaving the NPP, with the previous instance occurring in 2008 when he resigned due to losing the Presidential primaries.

His recent withdrawal from the NPP’s Presidential race in 2023 further underscores his willingness to part ways with the party when his leadership aspirations within it are not realized.
