Akuffo Addo declares a holiday 

To commemorate the annual Farmers’ Day celebration, the government has designated Friday, December 2, 2022, as a statutory holiday.

Ambrose Dery, the sector minister, called on the people in a statement to observe the day as such across the nation.

The 38th anniversary celebration’s theme for this year is “Accelerating Agricultural Development Through Value Addition.”

From Tuesday, November 29, 2022, through Friday, December 1, 2022, a national agricultural fair would serve as the festival’s opening event.

The Eastern Region will host a grand durbar and awards ceremony on Friday, the final day of the national agricultural fair.

Best-performing farmers will receive national honors from President Nana Akufo-Addo.
