72 students honoured at President’s Independence Day awards
Seventy-two (72) students were recognized this year for their exceptional achievement in the 2021 and 2022 Basic Education Certificate Exams, including eight (8) with special educational needs (BECE).
Each kid received a cash prize, a laptop, a year’s worth of Nestlé products, as well as a certificate signed by the President of the Republic of Ghana as part of their prize package.
These awards served as the cherry on top of a number of fun events planned for the award recipients, including trips to the Ministry of Education and Parliament, a tour of the Nestlé factory in Tema, and an air experience at the Air Force Base in Burma Camp.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo thanked the prize winners in his speech at the occasion and urged them to keep working hard and aiming for greatness in their respective sectors.
He also expressed his gratitude to Nestlé for continuing to support the awards ceremony and for their dedication to encouraging excellence among young Ghanaians.
In his remarks, Georgios Badaro emphasized how Nestlé’s long-standing collaboration with the Presidency and the Ministry of Education celebrates the accomplishments of young Ghanaian talents in order to inspire them to pursue excellence in all that they do and develop into responsible future leaders for the nation.
The recipients of the awards were chosen based on their outstanding academic results in the Basic Education Certificate Test (BECE)
